A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Type:
Full-time, In-person NY State Solar sells, designs, and builds quality solar systems. Our focus is to provide an outstanding customer experience and deliver a high quality PV system. Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable A Site Surveyor will be responsible for taking accurate measurements inside and outside of our clients' properties and roofs. This includes but is not limited to taking pictures of necessary electrical panels, meters, documents, obstructions, and general property to upload immediately upon completion.Job Title Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess home in preparation for solar design & installation Perform duties in a professional manner with a focus on customer service Use hand tools and electrical meters/equipment Keep detailed records, schedule dates, timelines, and notes of interactions with customers Use a Drone All other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications:
Must feel comfortable on rooftops for an extended period of time. Great customer service skills when speaking with new solar adopters. Basic computer knowledge to transfer data from site evaluation to CRM database. Able to perform basic and precise measurements on roofs. Effectively accomplish all site surveys in a weekly schedule. Comply with regulations and code compliant with local governments. Must have some experience in one of the following: Site Surveying, Solar Installation, Roof Measuring.Benefits:
