MWNE.com and True-Environmental.com to discover the full scope of our capabilities. We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to facilitate survey projects throughout New York and New Jersey. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and technologically savvy individual with the vision and drive to apply state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to a wide range of land surveying and geospatial projects. The survey crew chief will be responsible for leading a team in collecting all required field data for the preparation of a variety of surveying projects, for both public and private clients.
Pay Range:
$40.00 - $44.00/hour starting rate (commensurate with experience; room for advancement) What you'll do Lead a survey crew in the performance of pipeline, boundary, ALTA, topographic, stake-out and utility surveys, and assist in downloading and processing conventional and GNSS field data Interface directly with project managers regarding performance of project tasks QC of all field data Research, recover and measure real property evidence Prepare field notes, photographs, sketches, and detailed reports as required Ensure survey equipment maintenance and calibration is current Survey vehicle upkeep and schedule maintenance Utilize best surveying practices to perform all survey tasks Assist in the training of junior team members Follow all safety and security procedures Represent the company in a professional manner while interfacing with public and private sector clients and the general public Minimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a survey field party chief Experience performing boundary, topographic, utility, pipeline surveying, and construction stake out Must be skilled in operating and performing surveys from boats all-terrain vehicles Experience running electronic total stations, GNSS and levels required Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently Strong leadership and supervisory skills Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must be willing to travel to various project sites and stay overnight, as required Must pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree in land surveying or equivalent AutoCAD and field data processing Holding current Operator Qualifications for pipeline probing/depth of cover surveys is Project experience with pipeline and utility companies Certification as an LSIT Hydrographic survey experience Experience running laser scanners and UAV's All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
