What they do

A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief for their Blue Bell, PA location.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to operate as a 1-man crew using robotic and/or
GPS/GNSS
for construction staking, topographic surveys and boundary surveys; Ability to supervise a 2-man or 3-man crew, when needed; Boundary and utility investigations; Ensures that all data is downloaded on a daily basis (if needed), reviews each day's work and records; Performs sufficient checks in the field and records electronically and/or in field notes. #IND
