Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Out of state applicants will be required to secure PA licensure shortly after hiring. Must possess experience in overseeing and scheduling survey party chief and survey field crew; performing topographic and property boundary surveys; perform
ALTA /ACSM
land title surveys; preparing subdivision plans; preparing legal descriptions; process GPS data and data from survey instrument using Trimble Business Center; construction stakeout; GPS; GIS mapping; use of total station equipment, GPS equipment and auto level; deed research; compute boundary closures. Knowledge using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D programs is a plus. Most of the work will be local to Allegheny County and surrounding counties.
