About the
Role:
As a Project Surveyor, you are responsible for the planning, execution, and production of various types of land survey drawings and map substitutes from inception to completion with minimal supervision and direction.
What You Will Be Doing:
Plans and ensures the execution of land surveys and other survey-related documents; signs and seals surveysInterprets survey field notes to prepare certified boundary surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way control surveys, and other survey-related documentsProcess and verify the accuracy and sufficiency of collected dataProvide everyday supervision of the assigned survey field crew on quality and survey methodology, and gather all necessary information needed to meet the survey requirementsAssist the VP of Surveying with business development, client management, and the preparation of proposalsPrepares and maintains project progress and status reports, letters, files, and other documentation related to projectsAnalyzes and interprets technical information and/or property descriptions for surveying or related operationsProvides land boundary and surveying-related expert testimony in court casesUtilize Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, and other industry-related software as needed to complete projects
What You Bring:
Professional Surveyor and Mapper license. (preferred) Minimum of four years of experience of all aspects of surveying and mapping. (required)BS degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Geomatics, or equivalent work experience in survey or heavy civil environment (preferred) A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to our company insurance provider is a condition of initial and continued employment (required)Ability to work in a safe manner and obey safety regulations at all timesProficient with latest version of Civil3D and other surveying and mapping softwareProficient in running and adjusting various survey instruments including GPS equipment, levels, and robotic total stations with electronic data capabilitiesProficient in technical math, including Geometry and TrigonometryExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, Trimble business center, GIS and GPSExtensive knowledge of survey and mapping principles, practices, standards, procedures and project managementConsiderable knowledge of principles and practices of photogrammetric mapping, LiDAR and other remote sensingMust be highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have the ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines on a timely basis and have the ability to work both as an individual contributor and within a team environmentAbility to travel as neededCandidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policySo...Why Join Us?
