A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Survey Crew Chief Outstanding engineering firm in the area searching for a skilled Survey Crew Chief. The Survey Crew Chief will be the supervisor of a field survey crew engaged in various @types of surveys including performing boundary traverses, location surveys, level runs, retracement surveys staking subdivisions, and commercial development. Position Details/Qualifications:

2+ years of experience Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to work independently and with a team and balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job to exceed client expectations Download and upload survey data to and from the office Use and understand survey equipment such as total station, GPS and Data collectors, etc..
