A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Survey Manager will be responsible for all aspects of a surveying and geomatics group (field and office) consisting of several field crews and supporting technical staff involved with public and private sector land improvement projects. Initiate and maintain contact with key personnel and officials of organizations and companies. Plan, organize and supervise survey crews, technicians and other staff members. Administer contracts and manage projects, interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. Develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. Develop and implement client pursuit strategies Schedule and assign work to meet completion date. Plan and develop surveying projects with unique or controversial problems, explore subject area, investigate and develop novel concepts and approaches. Assist in preparation of and review survey deliverables. Prepare and review proposals for potential projects. Prepare, review and approve monthly billing. Review monthly financial statements. Review and approve timesheets. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina, required. 5+ years of progressive experience in surveying management in residential/commercial development preferred. Candidate will be expected to possess strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as field experience with Trimble Survey field equipment. Computer skills involve survey data management using Trimble or Android devices. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Earth a plus. Thorough working knowledge of GPS required. Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.Corporate Information:
