A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

As a Survey Crew Chief for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will work both independently as well as with crew members conducting the field survey work relating toALTA/NSPS
Land Title Surveys, boundary, topographic, route surveys, and construction layout under the responsible charge of the Registered Professional Surveyor. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the field crew using standard operating procedures and current health and safety standards. The daily duties include the operation of, Trimble GPS, total stations, scanners and UAVs to accurately collect relevant data in a concise manner. Other duties include detailed notes, diagrams and file management of collected data.Qualifications:
At least 5 years of survey crew chief experience; Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors and/or Total Station; Work requires independent judgment and initiative; Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of land surveying; Knowledge of the principles, practices, and instruments used in computer aided drafting; Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices and construction specifications, plans, and regulations related to construction; Knowledge of industry specific safe workplace principles and practices; Albility to operate motorized equipment; Ability to work outdoors under various field conditions; Valid Driver's License.About Us:
