Performs the following surveys:
boundary, control, topographic, construction layout and staking, environmental mapping, GPS/GIS surveys, and land surveying. Completes the field work by performing the administrative functions to include all computations, reduction of field notes, maintaining records, contacting clients, etc. Requirements 3+ years of experience as Survey Crew Chief or Degree in Mapping, Surveying, GIS or a Geospatial Field Proficient in the use of GPS, Robotic Total Station and data collectors. H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment Must be able to work in all types of weather and field conditions Must be able to work outside typical daily 8 am to 5 pm hours Must be able to travel for extended periods of time Must have basic computer skills for time, expense and field data entry Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing, read and interpret survey maps and construction plans
