In this role, you will utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to gather precise data, create detailed topographic maps, and support civil engineering projects. Your expertise will ensure accurate boundary delineations, construction layouts, and legal descriptions, contributing to the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure developments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that shape communities and support sustainable development. Duties Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, Total Stations, and other field instruments to collect accurate spatial data. Conduct boundary surveys, ALTA surveys (American Land Title Association), topographic mapping, and construction staking with precision. Use CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, and ArcGIS to process survey data into detailed plans and schematics. Perform land surveying tasks involving legal descriptions, managing mapping or surveying teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Manage field surveying activities for construction projects, including setting out construction plans and verifying site layouts. Analyze survey data through algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and math principles to ensure accuracy in all deliverables. Collaborate with civil engineers and project managers to develop schematics, manage project timelines, and oversee data collection efforts. Ensure proper operation of surveying equipment and adherence to safety standards during fieldwork. Experience Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects involving GPS surveying, construction surveys, boundary delineation, or topographic mapping. Strong proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson or ArcGIS for drafting and data processing. Familiarity with surveying equipment operation including Trimble systems, 3D scanners, Total Stations, GPS units, and related tools like Schematics software. Demonstrated ability to manage surveying teams effectively while coordinating multiple project phases from data collection to final deliverables. Knowledge of legal descriptions related to land parcels and experience preparing construction plans aligned with project specifications. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately while applying math concepts like algebra and trigonometry in field calculations. Prior experience in managing mapping or surveying teams on large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
