Rodman/Field Assistant Old Town Surveying, LLC Lewisville, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Qualifications Outdoor work experience High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Ability to follow instructions Full Job Description The field assistant position will be responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in field operations. This role requires operating and maintaining surveying instruments, data collection, and ensuring all survey data is correct and accurate.
Duties Include:
Utilize and maintain survey equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, data collectors, and levels. Assist the Party Chief by setting up and breaking down instruments/tripods and collecting accurate field data. Mark and stake points on the ground to guide construction. Ensure all instruments are ready for daily field activities. Communicate effectively with Party Chief and field team members. Load and unload equipment from truck and carry equipment. Transport equipment and supplies to and from survey sites in various terrain and site conditions and safely use brush axe/machete.
Required:
High School diploma/GED Valid Drivers License Ability to communicate effectively with others Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances. Must be able to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder.
