Duties Manage multiple projects including, residential, commercial, construction and development. Support the creation of topographic maps, boundary surveys, and ALTA surveys by collecting and processing survey data. Operate CAD software such asCarlson to draft plans, schematics, and detailed survey drawings. Help manage survey projects by maintaining organized field notes, survey records, and data logs. Collaborate with senior surveyors to perform construction surveys and layout for building sites or infrastructure projects. Assist in managing mapping or surveying teams on larger projects to ensure timely data collection and quality control. Support the operation of surveying equipment including GPS units and total stations to ensure precise data collection for boundary determination and topographic mapping. Experience Basic understanding of land surveying principles including boundary determination, topographic mapping, and construction surveys. Familiarity with Carlsons software. Knowledge of surveying equipment operation such as GPS systems (including Trimble), total stations, 3D scanners, and data collection tools. Strong math skills with a focus on algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and general math applications relevant to surveying tasks. Experience with drafting CAD drawings or schematics related to civil engineering or land development projects is a plus. Ability to interpret construction plans and legal descriptions for boundary surveys or site layouts. Demonstrated interest in managing surveying teams or supporting project management activities within civil engineering contexts.
