The ideal candidate would bring at least 3 years of practical management and extensive and varied survey experience. What you will do:
Responsible for the management, growth, and leadership of the Survey Teams in West Texas. Successfully deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting Halff's technical quality standards. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to members of the Survey practice. Provide project management and oversight as the Survey Team Leader for current and future projects within West Texas. Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships and growing market presence in West Texas. Manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interaction. Focus on day-to-day operations, management and development of the survey team and clients. Responsible for leadership, staff engagement and development, operations, profitability and client advocacy. Define and achieve short-term and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with overall office, practice and company objectives.
What you will need:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3+ years of survey project management experience. Licensed RPLS in Texas (or ability to obtain within one year). Proven experience managing large-scale survey projects and supervising field and office staff. Strong knowledge of boundary and right-of-way resolution. Experience preparing proposals and supporting business development efforts. Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external clients. Ability to work independently while mentoring and developing junior staff. Proficiency in Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D. Experience with Public Works, Energy, Water/Wastewater, or Land Development projects preferred. Experience in Upstream and Midstream operations. Familiarity with municipalities and clients in the West Texas region. The Halff Survey Advantage Highly qualified staff with land surveying and remote-sensing experience.
