Land Surveyor Snelling Staffing Services-Odessa,TX - 3.8 Odessa, TX Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Sketching Civil engineering Management Schematics GPS Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic team as a Land Surveyor and play a vital role in capturing precise land measurements, mapping, and data collection to support construction, development, and engineering projects. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge surveying technology and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate topographic maps, boundary surveys, and construction plans. Your expertise will directly contribute to successful project execution and land development initiatives. Duties Lead and direct survey crew members in the field Perform boundary, construction, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, etc Operate total stations, GPS equipment, data collectors, and levels Maintain field notes, sketches, photographs, and electronic survey files Experience Proven experience in land surveying with a strong background in civil engineering principles and topographic mapping techniques. Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), GIS tools (ArcGIS), and survey equipment like GPS units and 3D scanners. Knowledge of managing surveying or mapping teams on large-scale projects with a focus on construction or infrastructure development. Familiarity with drafting legal descriptions, schematics, boundary surveys, and managing survey data collection processes. Strong understanding of algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and math fundamentals essential for precise measurements and calculations. Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety compliance. Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, and schematics while coordinating with civil engineers and project stakeholders.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
