What they do

A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description

Position Description:
Manage the workflow and preparation of land surveyring projects including - ALTA/NSPS Survyes, Topo Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Plat Maps, Construction Staking, project schedules, and project budgets. Must be proficient with Civil 3D - latest release. Coordinate survey crew schedules, as-built plan preparation, and construction staking calculations.
Position Requirements:
5 years of practical surveying experience using Civil 3D, managing land surveying projects, interacting with engineers, designers and surveyors. Self-motivated, be able to work independently, develop project schedules and keep project teams on schedule. Good communication, writing skills, and proficiency in MS office applications.
Fawkes:
Fawkes is a civil engineering/land surveying/land development firm. The firm has projects throughout the southwestern United States and is looking to expand. The firm started in Utah in 2021. Fawkes provides the following services to its clients; land planning and entitlement, survey work (ALTA, boundary, topographic surveys and construction staking), civil planning and design, construction management, SWPPP services.

In office located in Northern Utah County Region.
