A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description

Carow Land Surveying in Appleton, WI is currently hiring a highly motivated Senior Surveyor or PLS or to join their team and grow with the company. This position will mainly be responsible for field work with some office responsibilities. Successful candidates should be self-motivated, have the ability to prioritize work and effectively communicate with others.
Qualifications:
A two-year degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology or a four-year degree in Land Surveying
  • At least two years of relevant work experience
  • Technically sound in the use of survey equipment and software
  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of field surveys and office tasks
  • Use survey field equipment
