A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
TERRADON
Corporation is seeking an experienced Professional Surveyor (PS) to join our growing Survey Department. This position is primarily office-based and focuses on project management, survey calculations, data processing, mapping, quality control, and coordination with field crews and engineering staff. Candidates with strong AutoCAD Civil 3D experience are highly preferred. Responsibilities- Manage survey projects from planning through final deliverables.
- Review, process, and analyze field survey data.
- Prepare boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, subdivision plats, easement exhibits, legal descriptions, and other survey deliverables.
- Perform survey calculations and quality assurance reviews.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to survey staff.
- Sign and seal survey documents as required. Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required (West Virginia preferred; Virginia registration or the ability to obtain is a plus).
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience processing GPS and robotic total station data.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center
- Thorough knowledge of boundary law, surveying principles, and applicable standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. What We Offer
