Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
TERRADON
Corporation is seeking a motivated Survey Party Crew Chief to lead field survey operations throughout West Virginia and Virginia. We are looking for a professional who takes pride in delivering accurate work, leading by example, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and client service. Extensive surveying experience is preferred; however, we will consider candidates with varying levels of experience who demonstrate strong technical ability, leadership potential, and a desire to grow within our organization. Responsibilities- Lead and direct field survey crews on a variety of projects including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, utility, transportation, and infrastructure surveys.
- Operate GPS, robotic total stations, digital levels, data collectors, and other modern survey equipment.
- Ensure field data is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Coordinate daily field activities with project managers and office staff.
- Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Travel throughout West Virginia and Virginia as project needs require. Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive surveying experience preferred.
- Experience leading survey crews.
- Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and modern survey equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, construction drawings, and legal descriptions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. What We Offer
