Job Description
Green Building Consultants Major Purpose:
MaGrann Associates is an innovative leader in energy efficiency engineering and green building consulting. We are headquartered in Mount Laurel, NJ with offices in Washington DC, New York City and Connecticut and operations throughout the Northeast region. Our Sustainability Consultants work with single family and multifamily building projects from the design through construction stages. They are a liaison with the project team's architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure successful green building certification outcomes. Daily responsibilities include both office and field based review of plans and buildings under construction, which may also include existing building retrofit . Candidates must have excellent organizational and task management skills and 3-5 years of related experience in the construction, design, engineering or building science fields. Candidates with skills in energy modeling (Ekotrope, REM/Rate and/or eQuest), onsite verification, and/or plan reviews are preferred. The ideal candidate will already hold aHERS, LEED
Green Rater, NGBS Green Verifier and/or PHiUS CPHC certification, however training for these credentials will be provided for the right individual. This position will be based in one of the company's hub regions (DC, NJ, NYC or Connecticut), working remotely and traveling to job sites regularly. Pay is commensurate with skills, credentials and experience.Principal Duties:
Support clients and projects through effective communication, consulting and engagement:- Provide and facilitate appropriate levels of technical support for an exceptional client experience and project success
- Plan review for compliance with various energy and green building certification programs
- Site verification in accordance with applicable program guidelines (e.g. ENERGY STAR, ZERH, NGBS, etc.);
- Performance testing using blower door, Duct Blaster™ and other equipment;
- Energy modeling used to generate HERS ratings and/or energy modeling based on
ASHRAE 90.1
guidelines;- Support compliance submittals to utility companies, state and federal agencies;
- Timely submittal of reports, tracking, reporting and administrative communications as required.

Supplemental Information:
- Salaried, exempt position;
- Annual performance and merit review
- Normal business hours 9:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility to accommodate company, client and event schedules as needed;
- Must have a valid driver's license/insurance.
- Computer skills must include competency in all Microsoft Office applications.
