Role:
The Product Sustainability Certification Reviewer/Specialist helps with the certification and compliance monitoring review work for Green Seal's Product Certification Standards and Services programs in categories including cleaning, personal care, paper and paint products, hotels and lodging properties, commercial and institutional cleaning services, and residential cleaning services. They partner with our customers to identify science-based sustainability leadership in the marketplace. Responsibilities include collecting information from customers and public sources; assessing conformance with technical and non-technical criteria per Green Seal Standards; managing deadlines; and communicating findings to customers and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage certification review and compliance monitoring projects o Manage customer document submission, confidential business information, project timelines, and customer expectations in support of service evaluations o Communicate Green Seal's requirements to customers throughout the evaluation process o Research and address customer questions and technical issues as they arise Conduct service evaluations (GS-33, 42, 49) o Review cleaning service policies, procedures, and records to assess conformance with Green Seal standards o Review service literature and marketing materials to ensure conformance with Green Seal standards and proper trademark usage o Produce documentation packages demonstrating services' conformance with each Green Seal requirement and maintain related records Serve as technical lead for service reviews o Addresses technical and procedural issues and escalates to Director of Certification as needed o Assists Customer Success with services inquiries and potential applications Take ownership of services program o Manages and coordinates auditor and consultant assignments for services o Develops internal and client tools and guides to help with the certification process o Initiates program improvements o Stays abreast of industry trends and news Organizational support o Participates in Clients-in-Trouble Team with Customer Success Department o Participates in other Green Seal strategic initiatives o Performs other duties as required Requirements Education, Experience, & Credentials Bachelor's Degree with at least two years of relevant experience required, or Master's Degree with at least one year relevant experience preferred. Coursework in one or more of: chemistry, biology, environmental science, toxicology, statistics. Training or experience in environmental sustainability, as it pertains to products and hospitality and cleaning industries, is highly preferred. At least one year of experience in regulatory or private eco-label/certification bodies on certification and compliance monitoring Experience reviewing documents like safety data sheets and raw material disclosures, record keeping, and CRM/document management. Proficient in MS Office Excellent communications skills. Experience working with workflow platforms and databases is desired. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Travel Requirements:
