The Test Technician will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure products are assembled and tested accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established engineering specifications and procedures. Job Requirement Set up new production test areas, including work-cell layouts, tooling, test equipment, and related infrastructure. Support the transition of products from development into production, including first-article builds and testing. Manufacture, assemble, and test electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures. Work closely with Production Leads, Supervisors, Managers, and Quality Assurance personnel to identify and resolve issues and support on-time customer delivery. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct product discrepancies through modification, rework, repair, and maintenance. Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. Set up and operate precision and calibrated test equipment, including Mensor gauges, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, soldering equipment, ESD-control tooling, power supplies, and laboratory instruments. Solder printed circuit board (PCB) electrical assemblies and perform associated inspection and rework activities. Independently diagnose non-functional electronic assemblies and determine appropriate corrective actions. Independently calibrate and test electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering procedures and specifications. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance workplace safety, product quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping activities, including daily work-area cleanup, in support of 6S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Demonstrate a willingness to learn quickly, apply lessons from mistakes, seek guidance from experienced team members, and continuously develop technical skills. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, cross-train team members, share technical knowledge, and contribute to overall team success. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or as needed to support organizational objectives. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in industrial manufacturing, product integration, electronics, electromechanical assembly, testing, or a related technical field. Strong work ethic and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, roles, and responsibilities. Ability to interpret and work from engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures. Basic mathematics and measurement skills. Good hand dexterity and the ability to work with small mechanical and electrical components. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work in small or restricted areas. Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Willingness and ability to work off-shift hours, extended hours, overtime, and weekends when necessary.
Preferred:
Industry certification, trade school training, technical degree, or other formal education in a related field. Degree or formal training as an Electronics Technician. CETma, IND, Computer Electronics Certification, or equivalent technical certification. Previous experience working in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.
IPC J-STD-001G
certification or equivalent soldering certification. Experience with electronic test equipment, PCB assembly, electromechanical systems, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Shifts Available:
5am-1:30pm with overtime and weekend hours as needed
Salary:
$30-$35/hr (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
