Overview Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.
Salary:
$20- $30/hr DOE Responsibilities Sets up and conducts environmental simulation tests specifically focused on
Dynamics:
Vibration and Shock, but also including
Climatics:
Temperature/Humidity, Thermal Shock, Salt Spray, HALT, IP and NEMA Spray, Drop, Compression, Cargo Bounce, Accelerated Weathering, Acceleration, Altitude, Thermal Vacuum, and Pressure. Documents test setup, progression, and results Organizes and documents data for each assigned project in the project's test log Maintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation Interacts with customers during the testing process, periodically assists with troubleshooting and development and schedule modifications Performs preventive maintenance on test and support equipment Performs responsibilities in compliance with all Company policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, Trade Compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and Employee Handbook Performs responsibilities in adherence to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to safety, environment, and corporate governance Applies the principals of 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) in the performance of daily work responsibilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work area Abides by and ensures that all duties are performed in accordance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE), Trade Compliance, and Quality practices, policies, and regulations Maintains customer confidentiality at all times Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safety HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed Minimum of 2 years' experience in a testing related field - dynamics testing preferred Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed Basic understanding of testing concepts- dynamics preferred Possess computer skills Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
Physical Demands:
