$43.98/hr What You'll Do Fabrication & Assembly Fabricate and rework non-flight hardware, including cables, chassis, 19" rack assemblies, test aids, and other hardware using build documents and assembly drawings. Fabricate and rework flight/EDU hardware, including PWAs, cables, chassis, and rack assemblies, in accordance with applicable aerospace assembly standards, IPC/WHMA-A-610/620 Space Addendums, and
J-STD-001.
Perform cable assembly tasks, including wire stripping, crimping, connector installation, soldering, sleeving, and grounding schemes. Accurately interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, complex schematics, wire lists, and engineering drawings. Document engineering changes and "red line" changes accurately. Identify and troubleshoot hardware problems associated with product design, workmanship, or component-level issues. Perform installation and troubleshooting of test cables with minimum supervision. Maintain strict adherence to ESD, safety, tool control, and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) protocols. Integration, Testing & Quality Lead box-level integration, PWA testing, and
ESTE/GSE
certifications. Conduct environmental testing, including vibration, thermal, and TVAC. Perform power-on checks, operational systems validation, post-delivery activities, and complex rack configuration changes. Execute detailed test procedures and component-level troubleshooting. Act as a test conductor using software scripts to command hardware and monitor telemetry. Perform DMM continuity checks and Cirris testing on a variety of cable assemblies. Utilize DMMs and Cirris testers for cable assembly continuity and verification. Measure and record test data and recognize and report out-of-tolerance conditions. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while considering hardware manufacturability and reuse. Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and effectively while paying close attention to cost, schedule, and manufacturability. Project & Team Support Manage assignments efficiently to meet cost and schedule requirements. Generate detailed daily/weekly status updates regarding accomplishments, roadblocks, and completion timelines. Provide expeditious technical support and work overtime as required to meet critical program milestones. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and across business and support organizations. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. On-Site Work Environment This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment. May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required. May access other facilities in various weather conditions. Required Education, Experience & Skills Technician I High school diploma. Each higher-level related degree, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education / U.S. Department of Education. Strong communication skills and the ability to exercise them effectively in a technical environment. Good mechanical aptitude. Comfortable working effectively with a variety of hand tools. Motivated and ambitious self-starter with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to be properly trained and obtain necessary certifications to perform required assembly and fabrication operations, such as Cleanroom, Electrostatic Discharge Protection, J-STD-001 Soldering, and
IPC-A-620
Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies. Demonstrated ability to work with other disciplines and communicate effectively with all levels of program personnel and management. Ability to learn and execute basic computer skills such as data entry and data query. Ability to read and follow complex schematics, assembly drawings, and execute test procedures. Willingness to learn process software tools such as Agile and Velocity. Ability to effectively work independently or in a team environment. Availability and willingness to provide expeditious technical support and work overtime as required. Technician II High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year or more of related experience . Each higher-level related degree, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education / U.S. Department of Education. Proficiency with a wide array of hand tools and a strong mechanical inclination. Ability to read and follow complex schematics, assembly drawings, and execute detailed test procedures. Basic skills in data entry and query; willingness to learn process software such as Agile and Velocity. Ability to undergo training and maintain certifications in Cleanroom protocols, ESD protection, J-STD-001 Soldering, and
IPC-A-620

Ability to work independently or within a team environment. Ability to work in diverse environments, including laboratories, cleanrooms, and production floors. Technician III High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or more of related experience . Each higher-level related degree, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education / U.S. Department of Education. Expert proficiency with DMMs, digital oscilloscopes, function generators, and programmable power supplies. Strong theoretical understanding of analog, digital, power, and FPGA electronics. Proficiency in fabricating and reworking hardware, including cables, chassis, 19" racks, and test aids, in production or development settings. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with flight hardware handling and aerospace assembly standards. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of program personnel and management. Ability to work in diverse environments, including laboratories, cleanrooms, and production floors. Technician IV High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years or more of related experience .
