About the Role As a Development Technician IV, you will support the integration, testing, assembly, and troubleshooting of complex electronic and hardware systems. You will work closely with engineering and program teams to ensure hardware meets design, performance, and quality requirements throughout development and production lifecycle activities. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in laboratory, cleanroom, and production environments while supporting testing, validation, and hardware readiness objectives. Responsibilities Integration & Test Perform box-level integration and subsystem testing activities. Execute functional, environmental, and system-level test procedures. Support vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and other environmental qualification tests. Conduct power-on verification, operational validation, and post-test evaluations. Troubleshoot hardware, assemblies, and test equipment down to the component level. Operate automated test systems and utilize software scripts to command hardware and monitor system performance. Configure, install, and troubleshoot test equipment, test racks, and associated cabling. Verify cable continuity and functionality using DMMs and continuity test systems. Assembly & Fabrication Assemble, fabricate, modify, and rework electronic hardware, cables, chassis, and rack assemblies. Follow established manufacturing, quality, and workmanship standards. Interpret detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Accurately document configuration updates and engineering changes. Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, tool accountability, and foreign object debris (FOD) prevention requirements. Project & Program Support Collect, analyze, and document test data and findings. Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate out-of-tolerance conditions and anomalies. Provide regular status updates regarding technical progress, risks, and schedule impacts. Support cross-functional teams to achieve cost, schedule, quality, and performance objectives. Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, results, and hardware configurations. Collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams.
