Job Description

Electronic Test Technician responsible for testing, troubleshooting, qualifying, and repairing semiconductor radiation detectors and associated electronic components. Job Requirements Knowledge of analog electronics. Knowledge of semiconductor detector theory. Experience reading and following test procedures, schematics, and technical diagrams. Experience performing electronic testing and troubleshooting. Experience measuring signal continuity, contact resistance, and leakage current. Experience using Digital Volt Meters (DVMs). Experience using high-voltage power supplies. Experience using oscilloscopes. Strong soldering experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Experience working with ERP or inventory systems. Experience documenting test results and unit status. Preferred Skills Experience testing semiconductor radiation detectors. Experience acquiring and analyzing amplitude signal spectra. Experience determining detector bias and shaping-time settings. Experience performing source-based detector measurements. Experience with ISOCS-related products or similar radiation detection systems. Experience performing detector rework. Experience testing and repairing preamplifiers. Experience with SAP. Experience with detector databases or internal production tracking software. Experience with inventory cycle counting and material transactions. Experience training technicians on test procedures or equipment. Job Responsibilities Evaluate semiconductor radiation detectors using established test methods. Measure signal continuity, contact resistance, and leakage current. Acquire amplitude signal spectra and evaluate detector performance. Determine optimum detector bias and shaping-time settings. Qualify standard and special-build units against established quality requirements. Maintain required production test output. Perform specialized source-based measurements for applicable detector products. Execute detector rework according to approved escalation and rework procedures. Test and repair preamplifiers and related electronic assemblies. Perform soldering and electronic component rework as required. Assemble accessories and supporting hardware. Record test results and update detector tracking systems. Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain material records in SAP. Process required inventory and production transactions. Support engineering projects involving detector testing, troubleshooting, or process development.
