BMS Aerospace is seeking a Test Technician to perform fuel flow, air flow, pressure, leak, and functional testing of aerospace and small engine components. This position requires careful setup, accurate data collection, mechanical aptitude, and strict compliance with test instructions. BMS Aerospace has been serving the Aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine, Defense, and Commercial industries for over 40 years. With continued growth across our manufacturing operations, we are expanding our team to support complex, mission-critical hardware in a fast-paced and quality-driven environment. The technician will operate dedicated test stands and fixtures, assemble test hardware, connect tubing and instrumentation, perform required tests, record results, and identify components that do not meet specified acceptance criteria. The position will also support auxiliary assembly operations when testing workload permits. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Perform fuel flow testing of nozzles, manifolds, tubes, and related aerospace components Perform air flow, pressure, leak, and functional testing in accordance with approved procedures Set up test fixtures, adapters, hoses, gauges, regulators, valves, pumps, and instrumentation Install and remove parts from test equipment without damaging sealing surfaces or precision features Prime, purge, vent, and operate test systems using approved fluids, gases, and pressures Verify calibration status and correct range of test equipment before use Read and follow test specifications, engineering drawings, acceptance criteria, and work instructions Record flow rates, pressures, temperatures, leakage, differential readings, and other required data accurately Compare test results to specification limits and identify pass/fail conditions Repeat or troubleshoot tests when readings are unstable, inconsistent, or outside expected range Inspect components and test setups for leaks, restrictions, improper connections, contamination, or damaged seals Work with Engineering and Quality to investigate test failures and improve test repeatability Clean, flush, drain, and protect components and test equipment after testing Maintain test stands, fixtures, hoses, fittings, gauges, and work areas in safe operating condition Perform auxiliary assembly, fitting installation, cleaning, packaging, or inspection support as assigned Complete production records, test reports, serial/lot traceability, and ERP transactions accurately Follow chemical handling, compressed gas, flammable liquid, environmental, FAA, AS9100, ITAR, and company requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

1+ year of mechanical testing, assembly, maintenance, laboratory, automotive, hydraulic, pneumatic, or manufacturing experience preferred Experience with fuel flow, air flow, pressure, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, or leak testing is strongly preferred Ability to read gauges, scales, flow meters, digital instruments, drawings, and test instructions Basic understanding of pressure, flow, leakage, units of measure, and mechanical connections Ability to assemble tubing, fittings, hoses, adapters, and fixtures correctly Comfort working with test fluids, compressed air or nitrogen, and pressurized systems under controlled procedures Basic math and computer skills Ability to record data neatly and accurately Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to small changes in readings or setup conditions High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
