Test Technician

Test Technician Job Description The Test Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the calibration, testing, and verification of precision flow-measurement and control products, including Liquid Flow Controllers, Mass Flow Controllers, and ultrasonic and Coriolis flow devices. This position is based in a cleanroom environment and demands extensive computer use, accuracy, and strong electronic troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities Perform calibration and testing of flow-control devices according to established test procedures. Use multimeters and electronic instrumentation to measure voltages, continuity, and resistance, verifying open/closed circuit conditions. Work with schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit documentation during testing and troubleshooting. Maintain accurate test logs, calibration data, and reports in Excel and internal systems for 6-8 hours daily. Operate within a cleanroom environment, maintaining cleanliness standards and adhering to 5S and safety rules. Diagnose and troubleshoot product issues, escalating when necessary. Assist in building and testing circuit boards, small motors, and electronic assemblies as needed. Support multiple product lines and assist colleagues when required. Perform additional duties related to testing, calibration, or documentation as assigned. Essential Skills Strong electronics and circuit knowledge, including understanding open vs. closed circuits and the ability to read schematics and diagnose faults. Comfort using multimeters and basic test equipment. Proficient computer and data accuracy skills, particularly with Excel for calibration data entry, logging, and reporting. Hands-on experience with test setups, documentation, and instrumentation in a controlled environment. Ability to follow strict procedures such as 5S and cleanroom discipline. Additional Skills & Qualifications AA degree in Engineering Discipline (preferred). 0-2 years of related job experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with test and measurement devices. Ability to clearly document results and findings in written form. Comfortable working in a hands-on environment using hand and power tools. Capable of lifting heavy objects or equipment up to 40 lbs. Self-motivated and able to work independently or as a team to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly determine the best path forward when faced with complex challenges. Intermediate written and oral English communication skills. Work Environment The work environment is a climate-controlled warehouse operating from 8am to 4:30pm, ensuring comfort and consistency. Employees are expected to adhere to a cleanroom dress code and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and discipline. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boca Raton, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
