Test Department Supervisor Job Purpose The Test Technician Level 1 is responsible for performing basic testing procedures on products, components, or systems to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This entry-level role supports engineering and production teams by executing test protocols, documenting results, and identifying potential issues under close supervision. The technician plays a key role in maintaining product reliability and contributes to continuous improvement efforts by providing accurate and timely feedback from test outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities Complete Career Path training program specific to internal apprenticeship position to understand and learn the tasks and responsibilities of each service area, including Power Panel (1-3 mos.) Electrical (1-3 mos.) Refrigeration (1-3 mos.) Complete training checklist and receive feedback on completion of training to establish training goals. Once goals are met continue to next department Other duties assigned by manager Qualifications Highschool Diploma or equivalent Basic understanding of air, water, refrigeration piping, electricity, and electrical installation preferred Ability to interpret blueprints and identify components Intermediate math and computer skills Self-starter with the capacity to work independently Good communication skills Appropriate representation of the company Working Conditions Mostly standing work. Frequently lifting up to 25 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 100 bs. (Lifting more than 50 lbs. overhead must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift.) Detailed work with hands; fine work, simple grasping and pushing/pulling. Position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, crawling, reaching, and twisting with occasional kneeling needed. Will work at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear.
