Onsite Job Description

EMC Technician Customer is looking for qualified interns to perform Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests in their

ISO/IEC 17025

accredited and Ford/GM/Chrysler recognized EMC Laboratory located in Troy, Michigan. This is a 40 hour/week position. Goals and deliverables Main Job Responsibilities Perform EMC tests per documented laboratory procedures and published standards and specifications.

This includes:

Receiving and identifying test samples per laboratory procedures Receiving training on laboratory test methods and becoming autonomous Performing tests as defined in test plans and standards / specifications Fabricating harnesses, load simulators and fixtures to facilitate testing Follow the laboratory quality management system to continuously improve, including: Participation in internal quality audits and third party assessments Immediate identification of any nonconforming work Participation in laboratory group meetings Closing assigned corrective actions required (CAR) Making suggestions for improving laboratory processes Required Qualifications/Skills Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical or equivalent The ability to read, understand & follow standards, test instructions, procedures and schematic diagrams. The ability to fabricate test harnesses, load simulators and test fixtures. Good technical writing skills. Computer literacy. Organized and methodical work habits. Neat and precise record keeping. Preferred Qualifications/Skills Experience using electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
