Dyno Technician
Job Description
Summery The Automotive Transmission Dyno Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, and evaluating automatic and manual transmissions using dynamometer (dyno) equipment. The primary goal is to ensure rebuilt or repaired transmissions meet quality, performance, and reliability standards before being shipped or installed. Must have a Resume Monday- Thursday 7a- 6p $18/hr first 90 days and then goes to Flag Rate Key Responsibilities Operate transmission dyno equipment to test transmission performance. Monitor and analyze test data, including pressures, temperatures, and shift quality. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic transmission issues. Verify repaired transmissions meet company and manufacturer standards. Perform minor repairs and adjustments when issues are identified. Document test results and communicate findings to production and quality teams. Maintain testing equipment and follow all safety and quality procedures. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Pass background checks Pass drug screening Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of automatic and manual transmissions. Ability to read technical manuals and specifications. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications Automotive repair, transmission rebuilding, or diagnostic experience. Experience with dynamometers or other automotive testing equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics and electronic control systems. ASE certification or similar automotive credentials. Experience with quality assurance and performance analysis. Physical & Work Environment Regularly lift up to 50-75 lbs. Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work in a manufacturing/remanufacturing environment with noise and moving equipment. Focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
