: Job Summary
Join our team in Durham, NC, a vibrant city known for its rich history, thriving tech scene, and beautiful landscapes. As a Failure Analysis Technician on the Swing Shift, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues to ensure product reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, debug, and determine root causes at multiple system levels for customer devices.
Analyze circuits and topologies to identify marginal failure root causes.
Repair failing devices and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor ongoing reliability tests (ORT) and reliability demonstration tests (RDT) and report issues.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to investigate hardware issues down to the component level.
Document procedures and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs.
Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines to resolve complex hardware issues.
Assist Test Engineers with test station setup and other processes, including modeling, pre-pilot, and pilot runs.
Develop and maintain technical knowledge in specialized areas, staying updated on current trends and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to read test logs.
Experience with computer hardware, including CPUs, NIC, and Memory.
Adaptability to stressful situations and ability to complete projects under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in electronic assembly, including schematics, PCB point-to-point wiring, and cable connector/wire soldering.
Experience with oscilloscope, cable & harness testing, troubleshooting, component testing, and logic analyzers.
Inspection skills for PCB loaded components, cables/harnesses, and microscope use.
Shift/Schedule
2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
