• John Deere (Morrisville, NC) This is a long-term 2+ year contract opportunity paying up to $44/hr , including 2 weeks of PTO . Operating 100% onsite on 1st shift (7:00 AM
• 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM
• 5:00 PM) in Morrisville, NC , you will perform electrical and mechanical validation, verification, and failure analysis on lithium-ion battery cells, battery packs, and high-voltage battery chargers.

Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:

Up to $44/hr (W2) .

Location:

100% Onsite at John Deere Facilities ( Morrisville, NC ).

Duration:

2+ Years (Providing solid long-term contract stability).

Shift & Hours:

1st Shift (7:00 AM

• 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM
• 5:00 PM, Monday
• Friday, with OT as requested by Deere).

Core Responsibilities Battery & Charger Testing:

Perform electrical, mechanical, design validation, and verification testing on battery cells, battery packs, and charging equipment.

Test Fixture & Harness Build:

Assemble electrical/mechanical test setups and build intermediate wire harnesses for test execution.

Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis:

Utilize multimeters and oscilloscopes to perform inspection, test diagnostics, and root-cause failure analysis on defective assemblies or lab equipment.

Documentation & Data Logging:

Maintain detailed test records, create documentation for prototype products when standard instructions are unavailable, and log lab maintenance work.

Engineering Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering teams to understand test requirements, report design or process issues, and support corrective action plans.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Education:

Associate Degree (A.S.) in Electronics, two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent practical work experience.

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering (4+ years preferred).

Technical Skills:

Proficient with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes) and schematics/diagram reading. Experience reading datasheets, assembling/disassembling electro-mechanical components, and maintaining lab gear. Competent in MS Office (Excel, Word) and technical record-keeping. Comfortable working around high-voltage battery components with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills:

Direct experience handling/testing Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries and building custom wire harnesses.
