Cobey is looking to add an experienced Test Technician responsible for setting up, operating, testing, and troubleshooting pumps, motors, control panels, and related equipment used in the manufacture of lubrication systems, gas conditioning skids, and other engineered products. This role ensures equipment operates safely and reliably while supporting quality, documentation, and customer requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Testing & Validation Set up equipment and test configurations for flushing, performance, pressure, leak, and functional testing. Operate pumps, motors, lube oil consoles, and related equipment during testing activities. Monitor system performance and verify proper operation of mechanical and electrical components. Conduct testing in accordance with inspection plans, engineering requirements, and customer specifications. Perform pneumatic, hydrostatic, pressure, and leak testing as required. Verify all pre-test requirements are completed prior to testing activities. Equipment Setup & Assembly Assemble temporary test piping, fittings, hoses, and instrumentation required for testing. Set up and connect test instruments, gauges, sensors, and monitoring equipment. Wire motors, control panels, and test equipment as required. Perform motor alignments and equipment adjustments to support testing activities. Prepare equipment for testing by ensuring proper assembly, cleanliness, and readiness. Documentation & Quality Complete test reports and inspection documentation accurately and thoroughly. Record test data, observations, and equipment performance results. Report nonconformances, equipment issues, or testing concerns to Quality Control leadership. Maintain records in accordance with quality and customer requirements. Troubleshooting & Technical Support Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation issues identified during testing. Interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to perform testing activities. Identify and communicate corrective actions needed to achieve successful test results. Housekeeping & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe testing area. Inspect and maintain test equipment, fittings, and instruments used within the test department. Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE). Safely work on ladders, elevated surfaces, and in confined areas when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and basic electrical schematics. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment. Technical school, vocational training, military technical experience, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred Experience with industrial pumps, motors, controls, instrumentation, or process equipment preferred Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred High school diploma or GED.
