Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic EMC Test Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing on a variety of electronic products to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Your expertise will help drive quality assurance processes, support product development, and maintain the highest standards of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) testing. Set up, calibrate, and operate EMC testing equipment and test chambers to evaluate product compliance with relevant standards. Conduct tests on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assembled electronic units using automated test systems and manual techniques. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to gather accurate data during testing procedures. Analyze test data to identify sources of electromagnetic interference or susceptibility issues; document findings clearly and accurately. Design, test, and troubleshoot electronic systems to meet EMC standards. Program, debug, and troubleshoot automated test controller systems.Requirements:
Associates degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience required. Candidates with experience in wireless communications or automotive radio frequency are also considered. 1-3 years of related experience in electromagnetic compatibility or radio frequency testing preferred. Working knowledge of radio frequency. Background in analog and digital circuitry. Familiarity with EMC testing standards and procedures for both EMI emissions and immunity testing. Mechanical knowledge related to electronic device assembly, including the use of hand tools such as soldering irons, screwdrivers, pliers, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately; experience reading electrical diagrams is essential. Strong analysis skills for troubleshooting hardware issues; capable of debugging using multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other diagnostic tools. Excellent attention to detail combined with organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
