Job Description
Description Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,000+ satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. Key job responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds
- Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
- Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)
- Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation
- Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating / manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with environmental testing
- vibration, shock, thermal, EMI/EMC, etc.
- Experience conducting structural, mechanical or electrical systems integration testing
- Demonstrated ability to follow electromechanical test requirements
- Experience working with
FOD, ESD
sensitive hardware and clean room requirements- Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)
- A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of electrical, optical and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing and/or satellite components
