Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00/hr Express Employment Professionals - North Seattle is hiring a Test Cell Technician for a respected manufacturing company. If you enjoy hands-on technical work, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and working in a team-oriented production environment, this may be an excellent opportunity. This position plays a key role in generator set testing, data collection, quality verification, and production support while working closely with Test Cell and Quality Assurance leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Hook up, test, disconnect, and clean generator sets following established procedures. Record and maintain accurate testing data and documentation. Identify nonconformities and assist with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe test cell environment. Assist with assembly and other production-related tasks as needed. Communicate testing results, questions, and findings to supervisors and team members. Follow all company quality, safety, and operating procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of relevant technical training. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines; diesel engine experience preferred. Basic understanding of single-phase and three-phase AC power systems. Experience using digital multimeters and electrical testing equipment. Understanding of low-voltage DC controls, switches, and delay timers. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software systems. Experience with diesel generator sets, AC power installations, low-voltage controls, or parallel generator operation is highly preferred. Must provide a basic set of hand tools, including metric and SAE wrenches, ratchets, sockets, screwdrivers, and pliers. Steel-toed or safety-toed boots required. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles. May occasionally work in varying temperature and environmental conditions. Industrial environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 70 lbs. Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
