Position Summary The Test Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and validating electrical and electromechanical products to ensure they meet engineering, quality, and performance requirements. This position performs functional testing and diagnostics on products ranging from individual subassemblies to fully integrated systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to safely work with high-voltage and high-current equipment in a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inspect and perform functional testing on electrical subassemblies, units, fixtures, and completed systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems down to the component level. Diagnose equipment and product malfunctions, identify root causes, and determine appropriate corrective actions. Repair circuit boards and perform product rework as needed. Verify products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and required performance criteria. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, bills of materials, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Operate electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other diagnostic instruments. Safely test and troubleshoot high-voltage and high-current electrical systems. Identify and resolve testing and inspection issues encountered during the manufacturing process. Provide technical troubleshooting assistance to customers by phone when needed. Support occasional off-site service, troubleshooting, or customer support activities. Accurately document test results, inspection findings, repairs, and troubleshooting activities. Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and manufacturing procedures. Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and maintain production schedules. Perform additional testing, inspection, and troubleshooting duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous experience in electrical, electronics, electromechanical testing, or troubleshooting. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications. Experience using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools. Basic computer proficiency and ability to accurately maintain testing records and documentation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions. Ability to safely work around electrical equipment, including high-voltage and high-current systems. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and customers. #
