Job Description

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is a regional, multidisciplined engineering consulting firm with more than 160 employees throughout four offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, and Rogers. ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographic and geologic data to plan and design projectsCalculates cost, determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, and prepares detailed cost estimatesUses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to create design documentsPrepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, legal documentation, easements, and designs for projectMeets with client periodically to coordinate changes, inform client of additional requirements, receive input from the client, answer client questions, and resolve issuesCoordinates project activity with appropriate officials, support staff, subcontractors, labs, and other entitiesTracks project progress and prepares reports of activity in accordance with regulations, company policy and client needsResearches regulations, products, and design techniques to provide answers to client needsKeeps abreast of changing techniques, materials, codes, regulations, and software through attendance at seminars, briefings, and other forumsPreparing illustrative hand and/or computer presentation renderingsPreparing material and imagery boards, planting plansPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsEnrolled in a Bachelor's degree (BS) program from an accredited Engineering schoolDetail orientedPlanning, organizing, and coordinatingLeadershipExcellent communications skills - listening, understanding, and respondingTeamwork and CooperationProfessionalismAnalyticalCreativityFlexibilityInnovative thinking
