Job Description
DescriptionAs a Program Manager on the Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team, you will learn how Amazon's proprietary transportation systems make decisions to move packages from the fulfillment network to customers. You will manage system configuration changes that control those systems, working directly with business leaders and program teams to create new transportation flows and design configurations that execute at scale. In this role, you will execute network design changes, dive deep into package flows, troubleshoot system errors, identify process improvements, and build automation, analytics, and reporting capabilities leveraging AI. You will lead stakeholder meetings, manage projects, and contribute to doc writings for the team. Key job responsibilities
- Manage system configuration changes across Amazon's proprietary transportation systems to support new and existing package flows
- Track program milestones and communicate status to business leaders and stakeholders
- Execute network design changes end-to-end, coordinating with business leaders and program teams to ensure timely delivery
- Dive deep into package flow data to troubleshoot system errors, identify root causes, and implement fixes
- Identify process improvement opportunities and build automation to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
- Develop analytics and reporting capabilities leveraging AI to drive data-driven decision-making
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in system configurations before they impact customers
- Document processes, standard operating procedures, and configuration playbooks for the team.
- Contribute to additional doc writing such as QBR, MBR, and Lessons Learned.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teamsPreferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
