What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker International's Public Works/Transportation Team in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting transportation and public works projects for municipal and county clients throughout Southern California.

What You'll Do:

Assist engineers with transportation, traffic, active transportation, and public works projects. Support the preparation of plans, reports, cost estimates, and technical documents. Perform research, data collection, and basic engineering calculations. Gain experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools. Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and occasional field visits. Learn from experienced professionals through mentorship and training opportunities. What You Need to

Succeed:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Interest in Transportation and/or Public Works Engineering. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional consulting environment.

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is up to $25/hour. This compensation range is a good-faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
