Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Seeking a motivated Senior Highway Engineer to join our growing team in Tampa, Florida. This is a key role supporting the expansion of our Florida operations and delivering a robust and diverse portfolio of transportation projects. We are looking for a seasoned professional who brings technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for building lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Engineer of Record on highway and roadway design projects.

Lead and perform senior-level technical design tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff, fostering professional growth and development. Assist with project management duties including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination. Support proposal development, including technical writing and scope definition.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program. P.E., registered in the state of Floridaor ability to obtain within 6 months. Knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures. Experience designing roadway projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with FDOT policies and procedures; experience with other state and local agencies in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic a plus. Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, OpenRoads and AutoCAD3D design experience a plus. Experience with Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, P3, etc.) a plusAbility to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization. Ability to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetingsPositive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others. Willingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the companyOpenness to utilizing and developing new technologies and approaches for performing work.

The expected compensation range for this position is $160,000.00
