ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead construction project delivery team towards client-defined success Coordinate and communicate with various project stakeholders Composure and diplomatic problem solving Analyze applicable codes, standards, and specifications for compliance Supervise general field inspection of Road and Bridge Construction including measurement, calculation, and reporting of installed quantities Oversee materials sampling and testing schedules Monitor and analyze progress of contractor's work Maintain various reports Mentor and lead inspection team
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois 10+ years' experience working with Chicago DOT, IDOT, Illinois Tollway, or comparable transportation agencies Proven ability to lead successful teams, internally and externally Proven ability to build effective business relationships Certifications, including IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Transportation design and constructability review experience is a plus Experience on transit and/or utility projects is a plus Coachable and a sense of humor Comfortable taking initiative and exercising professional judgement
Salary Range :
$130,000 - $180,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
