We are seeking someone that wants to join our team and assist in improving and maintaining the infrastructure in Monroe County. Responsibilities Oversee the entire project lifestyle. Prepare and review technical documents, such as project proposals and construction projects. Oversee traffic signals and road signage requests and follow the Indiana MUTCD. Attend monthly meetings, only as needed. Conduct transportation planning analyses to optimize traffic flow, reduce congestion, and improve safety standards across highway networks. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Use GIS data for system design enhancements and to support data-driven decision making in transportation infrastructure projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Registered Professional Engineer required Proven experience in highway or transportation engineering projects with a strong background in civil engineering principles. Skilled in Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity with construction management practices. Knowledge of transportation planning methodologies and traffic analysis techniques. Strong understanding of system design concepts related to roadway infrastructure and civil systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams, residents, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
