Job Description Dewberry is currently seeking a Highway Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Transportation Group in our Mount Laurel, NJ offices. Responsibilities Work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects. Assist in all facets of highway engineering including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, traffic signal systems, utility relocations, development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes, and preparation of right-of-way and contract plans for a variety of project types and clients. Ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects. Required Skills & Required Experience Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering required. Previous internship experience preferred. MicroStation experience preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Task Management and leadership skills preferred. Don't meet every single requirement? Salary Range Salary Range:

$17.75 - $28.75 Program Information Summer Intern Program During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee. Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including: Networking opportunities to meet other interns, staff, and senior leaders across the business.
