Responsibilities Prepare and oversee roadway and highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates Perform geometric design, grading, drainage coordination, and maintenance of traffic plans Coordinate with internal disciplines including civil/site, traffic, structural, environmental, and utility teams Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers and designers Attend client meetings and coordinate with public agencies including state agencies, counties, and municipalities Ensure compliance with state and federal design standards and procedures Support proposal preparation and business development efforts as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 4-8 years of progressive highway/roadway design experience Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey or ability to obtain within 6 months Experience working on county and/or municipal projects, including those that are state or federally funded Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation (OpenRoads experience a plus) Strong knowledge of AASHTO and NJDOT roadway design standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Benefits We understand that a fulfilling career is about more than just the work you do - it's about feeling secure in your health, confident in your financial future, and balanced in your personal and professional life. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
