We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management. B&L is proud to have a family-oriented culture, focused on supporting innovation and staff growth to provide inspired solutions to meet our client's needs. We are currently seeking a Sr. Project or Managing-level Engineer to join our Transportation practice area in our Buffalo, NY office. Duties primarily include engineering related to highway design and bridge/culvert projects. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Project oversight and delivery, preparation/review of plans and specifications, and client communications and meetings. Project coordination with technical quality control and oversight involving most if not all the types of tasks listed below: Providing conceptual input on the development of design projects. Preparation of design plans, calculations, details and public bidding documents. Providing quality control reviews of design. Proficient in technical writing. Potential for field review of construction progress at construction milestones. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. 8-12+ years of highway/bridge and transportation consulting experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed PE is a plus.Estimated Pay Range :
$95,000 - $120,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
