Job Description

Pennoni is seeking a Graduate/Associate Highway Engineer for the Transportation Division at their Lehigh Valley, PA office. The ideal candidate will be a person who is experienced in: Transportation engineering including PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit preparation and review, roadway design, drainage design, ADA ramp design, maintenance and protection of traffic plans, pavement marking and signing layouts, and pavement section design and review.
Required Attributes:
Experience/knowledge of PennDOT publications and design standards.
Required education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum years of work experience:
1-5
Licenses Required:
EIT - Professional Engineer in PA preferred.
Computer skills required:
Basic knowledge of PennDOT's electronic permitting system (EPS). Familiarity with current design standards (Penn
DOT, AASHTO
) Efficient use of other applicable engineering software (StormCAD; Hydraflow Hydrographs; Hydraflow Storm Sewers; VTPSUHM, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Looks for and seizes opportunities to improve work products.
