Join our team of transportation engineering professionals and advance your career leading impactful roadway projects for state DOTs, counties, and local municipalities. As a Transportation Engineer, PE, you'll apply your technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, from preliminary engineering and design through final plan development, while mentoring developing staff and taking ownership of quality, schedule, and budget. You'll collaborate with engineers and leaders across the firm, engage directly with clients, and represent the firm at industry events, positioning yourself for continued growth and leadership opportunities. What You'll Do As part of the project team, complete design tasks for highway, roadway, streets, traffic & safety, pedestrian or bike trail projects for DOT and local agencies Developing unique and complex solutions to highway/traffic problems for projects and pursuits Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and reports for a variety of rural and urban projects from low volume roadways to major freeways and complex interchanges Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget Collaborate with engineers and leaders across the firm on project pursuits and technical challenges Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for developing staff Skills & Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment, or ability to be registered with reciprocity 4 - 10 years of related transportation design experience for state and municipal transportation clients Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving Learn More To learn more about B&N, our culture and what we offer, visit: www.burgessniple.com/careers/perks-culture Burgess & Niple is an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
