Based in Tennessee , you'll have the opportunity to support and deliver exciting, large-scale transportation infrastructure projects across the state. You'll work on impactful projects for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and local Tennessee municipalities, interpreting project challenges and recommending best practices along the way. You will apply your highway and roadway design expertise to solve complex problems, take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, and use your technical knowledge to develop high-quality designs. The ideal candidate will bring direct experience delivering transportation projects for TDOT, with a strong understanding of TDOT standards, design criteria, project development processes, and client expectations. Here's what you'll need Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 4 years of experience in infrastructure and highway design Direct experience delivering transportation projects for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), including familiarity with TDOT standards, procedures, and project delivery requirements Proficiency in MicroStation including OpenRoads Designer Demonstrated ability to coordinate all phases of a project Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain PE registration in Tennessee Ideally, you'll also have Experience delivering county and municipal transportation projects within Tennessee 6 or more years of experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects Experience assembling and reviewing construction drawings and specifications Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, communication, and time management skills Experience mentoring interns and junior staff Desire to grow into project management or task leadership roles Active engagement in professional organizations This is a hybrid role. Ideally, you will work from a local Jacobs office on average 2 days per week. Travel for this role is less than 10% per year. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. #TennT #LI-KD1

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $78,600.00 to $116,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
