Our continued growth and success have created an opportunity for a Traffic Engineer at our corporate headquarters in downtown Milwaukee, WI. The successful candidate will join a highly respected traffic engineering team. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the continued growth of a well-established practice. As a Traffic Engineer at GRAEF, enjoy responsibilities that include: Prepare traffic impact analysis studies, transportation planning studies, traffic signal design and timings, microsimulation and modeling services, roundabout feasibility studies, parking studies, and safety studies for public and private-sector clients. We are considering Traffic Engineer candidates to join our team who possess the following basic qualifications: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation or traffic engineering. Minimum of 3 years of relevant traffic engineering experience. Interested in obtaining future PE licensure and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and/or Road Safety Professional (RSP) certification. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple complex assignments and establish priorities. Experience with Highway Capacity Software (HCS), SYNCHRO / SimTraffic, including the ability to guide staff and review technical work. Experience with VISSIM, IHSDM and AutoCAD, is a plus but not required. Familiarity with traffic engineering guidelines, including: WisDOT, ITE, FHWA, AASHTO, and MUTCD publications for preparation of traffic studies. Strong written and verbal communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Why GRAEF?
